Racing For Kids ages 5 to 15
Quarter Midget Racing in the U.S. is one of the best kept secrets in kids racing.
I am trying to spread the word about Quarter Midget Racing, so everyone who
wants to try it will know that it is available to the public.

THE SPORT

The purpose of quarter midget racing is three-fold:

 * To create and maintain a clean, safe, healthy sport which may be enjoyed by the entire 
family in close relationship with better sportsmanship.

 * To acquaint the younger generation with the handling of mechanical devices.

 * to impress the younger generation with the ideas of fairness, generosity and sense
of responsibility without envy of others.

THE CAR

Quarter midget cars are a scaled down version of an actual midget racer, approximately 1/4 scale.
They are built around a tubular frame, and fully suspended by torsion bars and or shocks.
The engines are single cylinder, four stroke in the three to four horsepower range. (stock class)
The driver is secured by seat belts and arm restraints and is required to wear a helmet, neck
brace, gloves, and protective jacket or driver's uniform.
