I will tell you this.. Linux isn't that great with modems. I am not insulting it but in some ways it doesn't have as much modem drivers as say windows would have. You need to get a modem driver from the manufacture otherwise you will either have to write your own driver or use a genric modem driver. You also need certain info from your isp to get online
