Telneting from win2k to Redhat 7

I finally got my redhat os installed, and have started moving around in
the os. I've had a copy of Star office 5.0 or 5.1 ... the raw files are
stored on a win2k box. The telnet tool in 2k are quite different that
what was on nt4, (I know .... that not important) My question is :

How can I set redhat 7.0 to accept a telnet and or ftp session? so I can
copy software from one box to another.

any help is apreciated.
