Hello,

I am having some trouble with with debian(woody), afterstep(1.8.3) and
xfree86(4.0.1). Anytime I minimize a window the xserver shuts down with a
signal 11. I had the same problem with xfree 4.0 I can post the xfree log file
if needed.

You dont need 4.x server if you dont own the latest chips based garaphics
card...
I mean... for the riva tnt and GForce is needed... but for a matrox G200 or
similar...
you just keep your old XF86...3.xx ...'cos it will do the job ...and the
graphic setup...
it's somthing you gotta keep handy (#XF86Setup)... 4.xx doesn't have it
yet...
I have an article scanned I can send you... from Linux Answers... 'bout XF86
4.xx...
just gimme a call and I can put that on my web page for you to download
it...
it's 1.3 MB!!!! but it's worth it!!!
jnk@clix.pt
just ringggg!!!!
;o)
luck!!!

For my current hardware I DO need a 4.x server, 3.xx can't do what I
need. I did forget to mention that this problem did not start until I upgraded
from potato to woody.
