Hi all,
I am having hard time getting my Linux to access a share on my NT machine
over the network. I can browse Linux from NT but not the other way around.
My Linux is dhcp and authenticates on a NT server (local network). so my net
working is working ok as well as have access to my networked printer. I have
looked in the SAMBA book and man pages I can not seem to find anything on
mounting a share on remote NT with NTFS . Any info on this or good
documentation would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Dave Gunter

Hello!
Let's see if i can help you.
I wrote this little script to be able to mount a NT share in Linux.
"mount -t smbfs -o username=xxxx,password=xxxx //anakin/install /mnt/smb/install".
This i wrote down in a text file wich i called "smb-i" and then i just "chmod +x smb-i" in
order to make it an executable. Then I liked it to my desktop.
I hope this will help you.
Best regards.
DoA
