I just got a Voodoo5 5500 and went to use Xconfigurator but only Voodoo3
listed and I can only choose up to 32 megs of RAM. I got the follow card:

New Cards config:

controller: Dual 3dfx VSA-100
Bus: AGP
Memory: 64MB Grphic mem
Core clock: 166
RAMDAC: 350hz
api : DirectX, Glide, OpenGL
connector: svga

i looked at 3dfx's web site for linux drivers but i did not find any. Any
clue as to what i can do or what i should do? I tried to config the card in
xconfigurator manually, but that did not work. I would like to get back into
Linux cause i really miss it a lot! I am running RH 6.2, if you need or
want any more info please tell me and i'll provide you with it (yes,
expensive cigars and cheap women are included!)
Thanks in advance.

you need to have a Xserver that can communicate with your card. I picked up
mine for my voodoo 2 somewhere from redhat.com . look around there - you
can get reall cool shit (if your lucky and patient! ) :)

i did.. but there was no hope to be found there. I just emailed their
support, spent freaken 30 min in the phone on hold. Hopefull I will get a
responce. I have tried every option under the sun. 3dfx website just so
happens to have one card supported in Linux, and i think i saw crap in there
for windows2k and win ME.
