I am using Mandrake 7.0 with KDE (on a dell insprion 3500 Notebook). I only have about 2 GB or so for all my linux stuff, and only about 20Mb of free space. I would like to remove Gnome (since I am using KDE and figure i can reinstall Gnome another time if i want) so that I will have room to install StarOffice (which will need about 260Mb) How do i go about removing Gnome? How can I tell how much room it is taking up on my system? Is it too much to ask if there is one Gnome application i want to keep?? Also, if anyone has suggetions on other ways i might free up enough memory for star office (such as programs that are large but rarely used. .. ) that would be great. Thanks a lot for your help, Flygirl
