add Linux to boot.ini

Here's my problem... I'm trying to dual boot NT4 and StormLinux2000
(Debian) After installing Linux, Loadlin only displays Linux because my
NT4 harddrive is running on NTFS... now, I've removed loadlin from the
MBR (fdisk c: /MBR) so Im back to OS LOADER... what I want to do is add
Stormlinux to the boot sequence of boot.ini. I've heard running a "dd"
command through linux to get a file but I cant boot back into linux at
this point... can someone help? If I have to have that file, can someone
send me a copy (zip) or any other help... thanx...

First you need to get a utility called "bootpart".
(download it from http://www.winimage.com)
Run "bootpart" from dos or NT to get a list of partition IDs.
Assuming that Linux is on partitition 0, execute the following commands
copy bootpart.* C:\
c:
cd \
mkdir boot
bootpart 0 C:\Boot\Linux Linux

After executing the above commands, you will have a "Linux" option
in boot.ini. Works every time! (assuming that you specify the right
partition number for a working Linux installation).

You can get NT to work with lilo. You may have to edit /etc/lilo.conf
and add the path, then run lilo to update the mbr. If you have no NT option
to pick from , this is the problem.

The other two suggestions seem pretty good, but heres a third, just
find a copy of Partition Magic, install it's boot manager, add
whatever you want to it
