hello everyone, i'm fairly new to linux, but not networking i'm using a dynamic DSL connection that uses 3rd party software to configure itself - that's working perfectly - i get an IP addy and can ping quite fine from the command line. here's the prob - i can't access the 'net with anything in the GUI (gnome) - netscape doesn't detect my connection at all. any ideas? my ethernet card is eth0, but because of the way this "Access manager" program works it configures itself as a device ppp0 - when i check my IP with ifconfig it's under "ifconfig ppp0" not eth0, which isn't used but exists (obviously) i'm thinking my comp's trying to use the device eth0 instead of ppp0, but i have NO idea how to configure this. help of any kind would be appreciated. thanks :) -A
