Hi everybody, I have a problem with my internal modem. I don't know exactly what model it is, I know that it is a 56K. It is not a win modem since I was able to dial and login using minicom, though it was terrible slow for a 56k. I tried to use netcfg using the same settings as for an external modem I also have and that works just fine (just is slower). So, it dials I can hear it connecting with the server, but after that the connection invariable dies. When I tried to use Kppp, I get the busy modem message every time I tried to switch to the internal one (ttyS2 in my case), so I don't even get to dial. Here I insert the last part of my messages file: Apr 2 13:30:11 localhost ifup-ppp: pppd started for ppp0 on /dev/ttyS2 at 115200 Apr 2 13:30:12 localhost modprobe: can't locate module char-major-108 Apr 2 13:30:12 localhost pppd[32017]: pppd 2.3.10 started by root, uid 0 Apr 2 13:30:13 localhost chat[32027]: abort on (BUSY) Apr 2 13:30:13 localhost chat[32027]: abort on (ERROR) Apr 2 13:30:13 localhost chat[32027]: abort on (NO CARRIER) Apr 2 13:30:13 localhost chat[32027]: abort on (NO DIALTONE) Apr 2 13:30:13 localhost chat[32027]: abort on (Invalid Login) Apr 2 13:30:13 localhost chat[32027]: abort on (Login incorrect) Apr 2 13:30:13 localhost chat[32027]: send (ATZ^M) Apr 2 13:30:13 localhost chat[32027]: expect (OK) Apr 2 13:30:29 localhost pppd[32017]: Terminating on signal 15.
