This could be an easy one. I am trying to telnet to my Linux box, I get the login: and password: but no matter what I type in it says wrong password. I try to log in as root and a regular user but still no luck. I was not sure if I need to edit a file that would enable remote access from the network. With all the Linux books I bought I still can't seem to find this mentioned. Any help would be appreciated.

edit your /etc/securetty file and stick the following in: tty1 tty2 tty3 tty4 0 1 2 3 Four local console root sessions, and four remote telnet sessions. Feel free to add/subtract as you wish.
