We all know that windows has its reign over the OS market. But like many great empires they all come to an end. for example the Aztecs, romans and the british empires were all great but there time must come. Windows charges ridiculously high prices for bug filled software. Linux is the answer to the abusive reign of windows. linux, still in its very early stages is the key to lower the prices and the monopoly of the OS market occupied by microsoft. We as linux users must spread the word and make it more user friendly than windows and more easily distributed than it already is. We must design drivers, programs and highly customizable GUI's for it. Compatibility is the key along with user friendlyness. Linux started by the posting on newsgroups now the advancements can be made as we advance linux into a new era and make it the next king of the OS market. This message needs to be posted everywhere and displayed everywhere possible. Be loyal to linux and do not be taken for a sucker by microsoft. If you are interested in this new movement sweeping the computer world. U can help by writing drivers, programs etc If u are an experienced or a begginer to linux we can still use your help. I must say that I agree. Spread the word! I am new to Linux and I am having a tough go of it but if it were not for the fact that I am so unhappy with microsoft products I would not be so enthused about Linux. The more I learn about Linux the more I like it. One thought that I had was: I think Microsoft should/could write a GUI for Linux and let Redhat/Mandrake/Caldera etc. provide the OS. The latest Microsoft GUI's '98 & 2000 are pretty sweet out of the box. Check out a web site www.eazel.com. This company is supposed to be made-up of the original Macintosh developers and designers. I was never really a Mac fan but I believe if anyone can make Linux easy to use these guys can. I think no matter how 'windows-like' Linux becomes the power users will still be able to get under the hood and tinker. :o) By the way...you wouldn't know how to setup a ppp for Freewwweb.com would you?
