i am new to linux and have tried unsuccesffully to install redhat 6.1 4 times on this one hard drive. it keeps getting as far as the post configuration and it just hangs. my question is how do i get back to the dos partition of the hard drive. everytime i try to boot up using my win 98 boot disk it will not read the c: drive. is there away i can get rid of the linux partion? i still want to learn linux, justhink i need to try a diffrent compurter. thanks in advance thevoice@flash.net

start install again, when you get to partitioning your hard drive delete your linux partitions then back out of it. when you can,t back any more just restart your computer. P.S. must use linux fips or disk druid. Unless you have partition magic which is a lot easyer. Windozs sux , and linux is almost there. <bounceback@bounce.com> wrote in message news:38b24f55.4374379@news.flash.net... > i am new to linux and have tried unsuccesffully to install redhat 6.1 > 4 times on this one hard drive. it keeps getting as far as the post > configuration and it just hangs. > > my question is how do i get back to the dos partition of the hard > drive. everytime i try to boot up using my win 98 boot disk it will > not read the c: drive. is there away i can get rid of the linux > partion? > > i still want to learn linux, justhink i need to try a diffrent > compurter. > > thanks in advance > > thevoice@flash.net
