Hi,
As I am getting to know about Linux. Linux is still so premature (I
means that it is still young) to compare with the other major operating
systems such as Microsoft and Unix. Thus, I would like to set my goal and
projection, Would you think the Linux will be around in the next 10 years
and become a major operating system?

Thanks,
Nhuuyen

access the internet as well as type report and the likes?

Try asking at alt.linux instead. To the question, i recommend SuSe Linux,
because it has very good hardware recognisation, and all the programs you
need.
