Hello all,

I'm trying to print from Linux to my windows 2000 printer. I installed the
smbclient and can see the sharenames on my
windows box.

I ran the following as per:
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Debian-and-Windows-Shared-Printing/printing_to_win
dows.html

1)
mastronardif@linux:~> /usr/bin/smbclient -L ntserver -U administrator
added interface ip=223.147.37.3 bcast=223.147.37.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
Password:

Domain=[WORKGROUP] OS=[Windows 5.0] Server=[Windows 2000 LAN Manager]

        Sharename      Type      Comment
        ---------      ----      -------
        g_fxm          Disk
        IPC$           IPC       Remote IPC
        D$             Disk      Default share
        Media          Disk
        print$         Disk      Printer Drivers
        HPDeskJe       Printer   HP DeskJet 720C

3.2. CUPS Configuration

ls -l /usr/lib/cups/backend/smb
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 2003-08-27 01:30 /usr/lib/cups/backend/smb ->
/usr/bin/smbspool

3.)
/usr/sbin/lpadmin -p ntPrinter -v smb://mastronardif@ntserver/HPDeskJe -P
/root/inkjet.ppd

Password for mastronardif on localhost?
lpadmin: add-printer (set device) failed: client-error-not-authorized

Can anyone help w/ this :(
TIA FM
