im new to linux learning networking
i have installed a intel pro 10/100 adapter
and is setup as
eth0

i need to set the following as of this configuration is from a
win box

static ip:65.188.173.217
subnet: 255.255.255.252
gateway:65.188.173.218

dns server
216.227.80.36
216.227.49.36

local network named: server
workgroup(i dont think its needed): network

requires ip forwarding

setting
i have directvdsl
locally my gateway is 10.5.1.2
3 other computers are asigned dynamicly at 10.6.1.x
the linux machine hooks into a hub from the hub goes to
the gateway then to the net
