Need Help with BOOT SECTOR Problem!

I installed Lilo on my boot sector to prompt me to start in DOS or Linux at
start-up.  But when I select DOS it says its starting it but it doesn't. 
I've fdisked the drive and removed all sectors and formatted because now I
feel its best to run Lilo from a boot disk.  So I've re-installed DOS now
but Lilo is still there on the boot sector.  What should I do?  What can I
do?

in dos mode, depending on the one you have, with Windows 95, DOS 7. What you 
have to do is load DOS and run fdisk like this "fdisk /MBR" after that type sys 
 C: at prompt and this will fix it .

Goto DOS prompt and type fdisk /mbr that will rid you of LILO.
