Neither. Get Slackware. But if your looking for ease Mandrake is easier than RedHat but neither are secure or as stable "out of the box" as Slackware. <acidbuterfly@surry.net> wrote in message news:3c12ee5c.19870685@nntp.surry.net... > which version of linux is better? mandrake or redhat??

I do like slackware but....not for a beginner at ALL redhat is the easiest and has the most complete instructions. Be sure you know your monitor specs (refresh rate Hz ect) and it will go fine. Video has been the real sticky bit for them but when it is right it's fine. <acidbuterfly@surry.net> wrote in message news:3c12ee5c.19870685@nntp.surry.net... > which version of linux is better? mandrake or redhat??
