I am having trouble moving unmoveable clusters in my Windows 98se system. I
removed all the system attributes (attrib *.* -h -r -s /s) and also disabled
the swap file but I still have about 5 clusters that can't be moved...
Unfortunately ONE of the clusters is right near the end of my current
partition so I can't resize my current 20 gig partition in order to make
room for Linux (Red Hat).
'Ausmosis' recommended that I try Partition Magic but I can't use this
program to make any changes without buying it. $70 USD seems a bit much just
to move one cluster... I read in a documentation about FIPS that I should
remove my mirror file but I don't know what this is or how to remove it.
Another subject that I found no help with online.
It also said the following:
b. There are hidden files in the space of the new partition that have not
been moved by the defragmentation program. You can find the hidden files
on the disk by typeing the command 'dir /a:h /s' (and 'dir /a:s /s' for
the system files). Make sure to which program they belong. If a file is
a swap file of some program (e.g. NDOS) it is possible that it can be
safely deleted (and will be recreated automatically later when the need
arises). See your manual for details.
I did this but the results meant nothing to me and I was not sure if I could
simply delete any of them or maybe use a boot disk and manually move them. I
have included the returned results from trying both commands at
the bottom of this message. If someone knows what I can do short of
reinstalling Windows I would really appreciate the help as I have spent
countless, fruitless hours on this...
Thank you

Dear Steve, I don't know you but from your question I assume you are familiar with reducing the size of the Windows partition using fips or druid. I cannot find "exactly" how to specify the size mount points and what the size and mount points should be. Plaese Help I am sick of Windows.
