I am having one heck of a time trying to install suse. I have tried 5
different cdroms and do not believe this is the problem. yast starts
but then errors out almost right after its starts. I have set the
computer to boot from cdrom and it will bot off a 98 cd but not the
suse disks 1 or 2. I am working with the newest suse from the net 7.3.
I have a boot floppy from the suse ftp sight that does indeed boot but
as soon as it trys the cdrom it fails. I am running a 500 amd k6 5
with 256 megs of ram. I cannot figure out whats stopping the install.
I started out with a 6 gig, then tried a 20, 10 and a 8 gig. Is their
some kind of trick?
