As I posted earlier, the ps command doesn't work as a normal user, as well as other things like traceroute and such. They work as normal users on a 6.2 machine, so are these changes specific to 7.0??? I understand that the permissions can be changed, it just seemed odd that it is different from the previous version. Also, there are commands that I cannot run when I log into my box with an ssh connection. For example, I use Licq, and if I want to run that remotely I have to log in using a telnet connection. Otherwise I get an error that says the command does not exist. Are there restrictions against executable files with ssh? Thanks all for your time, Roger
