Well I have W98se and have recently installed redhat linux on my computer.
(via partitioned harddrive)

I am running into LOTS of hardware incompatibilities!

1) My modem
I have a 56k PCI Lite WinModem.  Yes, i know it is a winmodem and its
intended for use with windows.  I ahve heard that there is a program that
will make it work with linux.
I found a website (www.linmodem.com(i think)) and downloaded their software
but couldnt seem to make it work.

2) My sound card
Its a soundblaster awe 64 gold. (also Win hardware) i found a program (isa
pnp tools) but cant make it work. (you must think im stupid by now dont you
;)

3)processor
on the boxed set of redhat it states that it is incompatible w/ AMD K6-2
400.  It seems to work fine on my computer but just a little slow.  Is that
the only problem with it?
