am a fair wiz with windows and mac.

i have recently installed linux mandrake on to my system

so it now tripple boots (win98, win2000 and mandrake)

i found that i had a winmodem, and cash being the way it is (i have none) i
have scrounged together an external hardware modem (a sportser flash modem
33,6) this modem works on my win98 and win2k

but i cant connect via linux

i am usuing kde and kppp

it dails, connects, handshakes then fails (at authentication i think)

i have the correct user name and pass

i am using NTLworld as an ISP (the company i work for) i have spoken to the
hoastmaster and i should be using PAP and i am
