How can I disable the sound in Linux? I already tried rmmod soundcore and soundlow and that didn't work. The real problem is that my sound server is slowing up my games so much that I can't play them and I'd rather have no sound at all. Any help? Thanks in advance

Bad suggestion: remove all sound related device nodes
in /dev (/dev/sound /dev/pcm /dev/dsp etc.)
Better suggestion: recompile you're kernel and don't include any sound
support
Good suggestion: prevent the loading of sound modules at boot time,
I can't tell you how exactly bhut you should
find some info about loading / unloading modules as boot time.
