Dear News Group - Moderator:

The explosion of information available on the Web makes it
difficult to find exactly what you want. In a effort to help improve
the search performance on the Web and Net, AmeryNet is testing several
new information retrieval pieces of software.

We call this project "Cybercity mapping" , an automated public mail
routing system for improvements to: NetNews, HyperNews, and HyperText,
through indexing by topic.I hope your group will help us improve this
Cybercity ( Web and Net ).

Project information request: Please copy the included form to a file
named NEWSINDX.HTML, so you can use your browser to send it to us.

The purpose of this form is: 1) To eliminate unwanted posting to your
news group by people who don't know your purpose. 2) To attract people
who should subscribe to your group and have something meaningful to add.

Project system test: We are testing a automated information gathering
system that will be available free of charge, to all groups that respond.
It will allow you to ask your audience for their opinion to help improve
the news group.

This approval rating system will be packaged so your group can
easily modify it to fit your group's needs. No CGI scripting
needed. Data from the form is processed automatically and submitted
to a report generator. (This test is limited to USA news groups)

Help us test the system by having your members answer the following
question:

If you could assemble one great Republican Candidate from the
Buchanan, Dole, and Forbes, and Alexander based on their opinions,
what would "Mr. Candidate" believe in?

Go to : http://members.gnn.com/AmeryNet/polyform.htm

Read each candidates position on any of the listed topics and rate
them, from 0=totally disagree to 9= totally agree, based on your
opinion. The results from this poll will be posted each day for the
next week.

Thank you for your attention
Jim L...
