The basic thrust of the Christian argument is that a fetus has a soul.If the 
fetus has a soul, then the Biblical injunction against killing comes into 
play. This point...that the fetus has a soul...is difficult to establish 
relying solely on the Old and New Testaments. On the other hand, various 
modern day Popes have made it clear to the Catholic world that the Church 
condemns abortion.

 Your task is to find biblical documentation as to the presence of a soul in 
a fetus. Also, to outline the religious argument against abortion using this 
information.

Chapter 2
Verse 7

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his 
nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
