It's obvious that neither of you know anything about business, law,
marketing, or MLM's.  

Calling MLM's a pyramid scam is proof of your ignorance as is calling
them a scheme.  Fortunately or unfortunately MLM's are not only here
to stay but are becoming a larger and larger portion of how businesses
will be marketing in the 90's and beyond.  Many of today's
"legitimate" businesses are looking at or offering MLM like programs,
MCI, Coca Cola, Procter & Gamble, to name a few.

The biggest reason MLM like marketing is going to be the wave of the
future is COST.  Businesses invest MAJOR $$$ in marketing to try and
get you to use their products.  By distributing products via MLM a
company can cut it's marketing costs to virtually nothing, kick some
commission $ back to it's distribution chain, and improve the bottom
line.

I'm not involved in any MLM's currently but like franchises in the
50's, MLM's are here to stay and are growing strong.  Just as an FYI,
did you know there was serious consideration given to outlawing
franchises when they first came on the scene as a business/marketing
system.
