We haven't had a President that the country could be proud of since John F. Kennedy, and he was assassinated because he tried to get us out of the Vietnam war. The men that would make the best Presidents do not want the job, or maybe they want it but refuse to run. The media scrutinizes the candidates so badly that it is devastating to their families and is simply not worth it to them. The voters are left to choose between candidates that they don't like and don't want. It's time to do away with the electoral college and elect the President based on popular vote. Then the power to elect will be placed back into the hands of the voters, who could write in the man that they REALLY want to be their President. -- |=========================================================================| | Ernest G.
