> Really? What does it say about the character of the voters? What did > Bush's '88 election say about the voter's character? Do you have > something other than gratuitous cynicism to share with the group, Alan? Hmmmmmmm.... good point!!! Let's really compare what happened.... Accusation: Bush bypassed the Constitution in order to implement a foreign policy with dubious values (Iran-Contra). Accusation: Clinton tried to get a "blow job" in a hotel room. Let's assume both accusations are true.... Most of us seem to believe that they are. It does enforce our general perceptions of the two individuals. Bush believes that the ends justify the means. Following the Constitution should be done at one's convenience. Other things to look at: - Going to China after Tianneman Square. - Invasion of Panama (destroying it) for who? (a 2-bit drug lord). - Read my lips. Make a promise, and then break it at your convenience. Clinton believes that people are there for his pleasure. He views that the world revolves around him. Other things to look at: - Having hairstyle and holding up the air traffic at LAX. - Whitewater... The facts appear to be that Bill wanted to make a few bucks, and that he didn't realize/care that he was getting involve with several shady/incompetent people. - Travelgate... They fire these people, and then deny having anything to do with it. Filegate... Some loose cannon (with disputable reputation) asks for files... They disassociate themselves with him. Bush is an elitist who felt that he was given the right to be President. Clinton is a narcissist who believes that people love him, and that is why he is President. Bush acted noble and stood behind his mistakes.... (Quayle, John Tower, Clarence Thomas, and John Sununu). Clinton denies association (Craig Livingstone, Lani Guynier, Zoe Baird, etc.). I am innocent...
