Should be no problem with Linux starting 20GB inward on the drive:

[etc]# fdisk -l /dev/hda

Disk /dev/hda: 255 heads, 63 sectors, 5005 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 bytes

   Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1   *         1      1658  13317853+   b  Win95 FAT32
/dev/hda2          1659      2484   6634845   a6  OpenBSD
/dev/hda3          2485      3268   6297480    8  AIX
/dev/hda4          3269      5005  13952452+   5  Extended
/dev/hda5          3269      3421   1228972   83  Linux native
/dev/hda6          3422      3487    530144+  82  Linux swap
/dev/hda7          3488      3500    104422   83  Linux native
/dev/hda8          3501      3908   3277259+  83  Linux native
/dev/hda9          3909      5005   8811652   83  Linux native

As you can see here, mine starts ~26GB inward.
