Hmm - so why does Linux crash during Boot (I get "L" and that's it;-) in my
case?
root (/) is on hda8 and I have lilo installed on either extended partition
(would this be hda5? not shure!)or the logical one (in my case hda8)
Then I __something like__
   dd if=/dev/hda8 of=/bootsect.lnx bs=512 count=1"
to get the linux bootsector and copy /bootsect.lnx to the dos
partition (hda1). Finally I modify boot.ini to add the line
   c:\bootsect.lnx,"Linux"
and _should_ be able to load linux by means of the NT Loader.....

However this doesn't work as I said and I still have to use loadlin under DOS
:-(

Any idea?

Sascha.
