Hey! Sup?

I downloaded SuSE Linux 6.1.  I installed it, and had a few questions.

1st:  How do I configure graphical interfaces such as KDE.  It has a problem
with an xserver or something i don't know.  It told me to run XF86Config.  I
ran it, didn't fix the problem.  Then it told me to run XF86Setup.  I ran
it, it didn't fix the problem.  I'm BRAND NEW to the whole unix.linux setup
and commands!  I am a windows/dos user (i'm writing this message with
windows!).

2nd:  When i do run XF86Setup and XF86Config my mouse never works.  I have a
serial mouse.  If i put it through a ps/2 port do you think it would work.

3rd/I think Last:  Do you reccomend any books that would help a person like
me who has know idea what's going on with unix/linux!
