I just installed Mandrake 7.0... It took awhile due to my own
inexperience with partitioning hard drives. Things seemed to go best when I
reformated my hard drive, reinstalled windows, and then ran the partition
magic program that came with Mandrake. When I tried it prior to the
reformat/reinstall the data alignment function on partition magic took
forever. Also, be sure to choose the custom installation option if you want
to dual boot . I didn't the first time, and the system wouldn't let me
dual boot.
Everything is running fine now. However, I do need a compatible modem.
My windows partition is also running faster, probably due to complete
reinstal.
