Stephen,

There definitely are some Linux fans around.. The Alaska Linux Users
Group has a web presence at http://www.aklug.org/

Here's meeting info:

The next meeting of the AKLUG will take place Friday June 5th at 7:00
p.m. It will be held at 2550 Denali Street, the Denali Tower North,
16th Floor Conference room. We'll be reviewing the submittals for a
new logo from the local Gimp users at the meeting and awarding the prizes.

     Topics will be:
         Schedule for the summer
         Topic Speakers
         AKLUG Logo Contest
         Installfest (if anybody needs help)
         Questions & Answers

The AKLUG mailing list usually has a couple of messages every couple
of days, both for helping people get started and discussing various
networking issues around the state.

I haven't made it down to Anchorage for a meeting yet. There are also
people around Fairbanks using Linux--the one I know of are all at UAF.

Later,
Matt
