Linux does not require you have a seperate partition for swap.  Most people,
in fact, go with the swapfile concept.  It's easy to make your swap larger,
rather quickly, and it obviates the need for an entire partition dedicated
to swap.  Admittedly, it's a bit slower, but it's useful.
