One of my points was to ask if Obama believes violent criminals need to be
rehabbed. I think I heard him talk about criminal but not violent criminals
As for the laws, violent crime is a personal thing with me and its not
overemphasized. I see and hear what goes on in some cities and its almost
akin to terrorism really. Why are laws allowed to subjectively be over ruled
by judges? Who knows, they shouldn't be . My proposal is for anyone who uses
the gun or knive as in shooting or knifing someone, not just bringing a gun
or knive into the crime. The reason I think targeting people who actually
used the gun or knive is better is because obviously they don't care about
human life at all and should never see light of day again. If we put
everyone who brought  the gun or knive but didn't actually use it we might
be overwhelmed with prisons. Still I would not be against that 20 year
sentence either. I don't think poverty should ever be an excuse for
committing a violent crime
