I recently recieved this letter on a news group. Normaly I discard them
as mear nonsense. Who in there right mind would do this. But then I 
figured why not, if you read this letter you will see that for a mere 
ten dollars you may get a return of a lot more.You may not either but
for that much maybe its worth the risk people blow that much money on 
lottery tickets every week.so I sent the money and followed the 
instructions. And now I send this to you just read it if it makes sense
 to you do it if not just toss it.

Two things you need to know up front:

1. You CAN NOT make $50,000 in a month or even six months by following
   the instructions found in this letter, or similar ones found on the
   'net.

2. You CAN make $1,500 to $2,000 or more within a couple of months,
   with which you can buy a new computer, pay some bills, or go away on 
   vacation.

These are the facts.  I have tried this twice before, following 
instructions found in letters downloaded from internet newsgroups.  
You've seen them, I'm sure.  The first thing they promise is a quick
way to earn $50,000 or more, with no work and only $5 invested.  You
have probably considered trying it yourself, then told yourself that
it wasn't worth the effort, and it couldn't possibly be true.  Fact is,
it isn't true.  BUT IT IS WORTH TRYING!  Think for a moment ... your
total expense for the program is $6.60 (five dollar bills and five
postage stamps). Basically, you spend less than ten dollars to get started, 
and then your work is pretty well done.  Even if you don't get a single
response, you are only out $10 and maybe an hour or two of your time.

But you WILL GET A RESPONSE!  As I have mentioned, I have tried this
twice before, and I have made some money.  I haven't sat down to try 
to work out the math yet, but look at these figures:

   Post the letter to five different (but interesting) newsgroups.
   Use you judgement to decide which ones might be the most responsive.
   For example, a group with only five items posted is probably not
   often visited.  Assume that the newsgroups you posted the item to
   will be visited 50 times a day, or 1,500 times a month (this is a
   low estimate -- there are millions of web surfers with newsgroup
   access, but they won't all be surfing the same sites).  This means
   that 7,500 people might read your message.  Of course, 80% of those
   might dismiss your message as worthless.  But that leaves $1,500
   people who might try it.  They will send out letters just like 
   yours, but as many as 75% of those will be creeps who will use
   your letter and not send you any money (PLEASE, BE HONEST -- YOU
   CAN MAKE MONEY THIS WAY, DO NOT STIFF THE PEOPLE WHO PRESENT YOU
   WITH THE OPPORTUNITY!)  After that, you see the remaining 25% 
   return, or $375 sent directly to you!  Then, each time the letter
   is re-used, for four additional levels, you also get $1.00 per
   use.  If they get the same response as you, it adds up to $1,500
   more, for a total return on your investment of $1,875.00!

   I have tried this twice -- the first time I made about $1,200.00, 
   and the second earned me just over $2,000.00!  That is why I am
   trying this again.  It worked for me, and you should give it a 
   try as well.  Just remember, BE HONEST!

So, how does this work?  Simple.  You have probably seen this before.
What it is, is a PERFECTLY LEGAL (see Title 18,h sections 1302 NS 1341 of 
Postal Lottery Laws) program of collecting names and 
addresses for a mailing list.  Basically, you will start your own 
small company that collects and stores mailing lists.  NOTE: You can
sell these mailing lists to other companies and make even more money,
but I have not done that with mine.  My goal is to make some money,
not to deluge those who send me the money with piles of junk mail.

STEP ONE - Print this letter.  Save it, in case you want to try it 
           again at a later date.

STEP TWO - Send a snail-mail letter to each of the following people,
           reading simply "Please add me to your mailing list", and
           containing your full name and mailing address, and $1.00
           in cash:

STEP THREE - Edit this letter to read the way you want it to.  Include
           some information about yourself.  DO NOT LIE!  I have stated
           in this letter that I have tried it twice, but if you can not
           say that honestly, don't say it.  Instead, personalize it or
           say that "Joe Mosher tried it twice before, and ..."
           When you get to the list of names of above, remove the top
           name (#1), and move the others up.  Then add your name to the
           bottom of the list (#5).  In this way, you can earn money
           the investments of others after you, as you are helping those
           that came before.

STEP FOUR - Post your letter to as many internet newgroups or local BBS
           numbers as you wish.  You can even send copies of it snail-
           mail, but this is not as considerate.  When you post it on a
           newsgroup, the people who want to read it can, but they are 
           not forced to receive it as junk mail.  Also, when you post
           it, give it a title that will draw people to it.  I have 
           used the title "YOU CAN START A CASH BUSINESS".

STEP FIVE - When the money starts coming in (amd it may take two to 
           three weeks, don't panic and don't give up), save all the 
           letters you receive in a box or closet somewhere.  Store the
           names and addresses in your computer, if you wish, to make
           your mailing list easier to handle, but always KEEP THE
           ORIGINAL LETTERS.  This way, you will have proof that your
           business is legal and legitimate, in case you are ever asked.

STEP SIX - Use the money you receive as you wish.  You have earned it.
           If you need more (we all do, don't we?) then try again.  Just
           do not forget to send the money to the people on your list!
           They are just like you, and nobody makes anything if this
           letter regenerates without any money changing hands.
