Problem mit Partition It

Ja hallo erstmal,

hier kommt mal mein Problem, dass ich mit Partition It
von Quarterdeck habe.

In meinem PC sind 2 Festplatten eingebat. HD1: 540MB und HD2: 170MB.

Wenn ich mit Partition It die 1. Platte bearbeiten will erscheint folgende  
Fehlermeldung:
logischer Fehler auf Laufwerk 1 - Partitionseintrag hat Endsektoradresse
2063375, die die Gesamtzahl der Sektoren 1054368 ueberschreitet

Es ist eine WD Caviar AC 2540 Festplatte, die zwar mit 540 MByte
ausgestattet ist, die ich aber nur mit der unter DOS maximal nutzbaren
Groesse (also 504MB) verwende.

Partition It erkennt sie auch nicht als Laufwerk C:, sondern nur als
Festplatte 1 und will bei Programmende, wenn ich es zuliesse, aus D:
(zweite Festplatte) C: machen.

Weiss jemand, weshalb dieser Fehler auftritt und was ich dagegen tun kann?
