Hello !

I may have an idea. Maybe I'm wrong, but it might be possible that, for an
undetermined reason, the bitmap screen showing the text "you can shut down
your computer" has vanished or has been modified ans thus shows nothing to
the screen...
If you have an OSR2 version of Win95 (version number "...950B"), it
automatically runs a scandisk at boot time when the last shutdown hasn't
been complete - this could help you determine whether I'm right or not. In
that case, and as long as you don't see the scandisk (you can't miss it
!!), I would say that it seems to be ok.
I don't remember the name of this BMP file, probably (?) sthg like
"logow.sys" (?) - maybe someone else can tell you about this ?
