Hi there Susan, I take it that you have made sure that there is no floppy disk in the PC when you have rebooted and have had the same message. What it sounds like is that your BIOS has been set to only try and boot from a floppy disk. If you do not know how to use the BIOS then you will need to find someone that does. Or if you are confident on your computer I could give you instructions. Normally (depending on what your PC is on boot up there will be a part on the very first screen saying "Hit del to enter BIOS" or "Hit del to enter CMOS". You need to do that and find the section (normally "Advanced settings") where it allows you to either select the first boot device, or the order to boot in. Change this to your C: drive first. Some PC's need you to press F2 or another key to enter the BIOS. I take it that this problem has just happened and that there was no problem before. If that is the case then your Mother Board battery might of died. Don't worry the battery is like a watch battery but inside the PC. You can check if it is dead by when you physically switch off the PC for a while and switch it back on you will have the same problem! Another way is to check the time and date in the BIOS. If it has stopped time from when it was last on then the battery is dead. If it is dead and you are confident with your PC you can open it up. Find the Mother board ( the circuit board with the CPU on it) and where the battery is on the board and replace it. If this doesn't work or if it does work, try out the site www.answersthatwork.com that is where I found this solution to my problem, which sounds similar to yours.
