At the beginning , there are "Now you can use the .com-grade Solaris[tm] 8
Operating Environment at home or at work - without paying a license feee "

Does it mean any commercial company can use Solaris 8 free ?

Vu, yes this is absoulutely true - any small , medium or large company can 
deploy as much Solaris as they wish provided they meet the conditions set out 
for the license, including:

reporting of all license usage back to Sun

the licenses are non-transferrable, so anyone wanting to OEM/redistribute 
Solaris needs to pay a royalty to Sun under contract.

I am really out-of-date. I keep thinking that I can use Solaris free at
home only. Perhaps some day, my email signature will be "Solaris 8 x86 @
