Sick Rantorum even opposes prenatal screening

Rantorum says prenatal screening results in abortions and eugenics. He
always seems to find what he feels is the worst-case scenario for things
and bases his opinions on that. First of all there are many types of
prenatal screening and they are done for a variety of reasons.
Screening can also be done to diagnose high-risk pregnancies early so
when the baby is born it can receive appropriate care. It can also be
used to help take proper medical steps before the pregnancy. The
screening can also determine if the pregnancy poses any danger to a
woman who may have her own medical issues. Screening for birth defects
or other conditions helps a woman to prepare emotionally, economically,
etc, after the birth, not necessarily to make her want to abort. Most
every pregnant woman I have known knew the sex of her baby before it was
born; I never knew this was even an issue until just a few years ago
when I started hearing about busybodies sticking their nose into this
decision (and yes, in addition to religious conservatives, I have heard
some liberals criticize so-called "selective births"). The American
Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommend testing, and
invasive testing at that, for every pregnant woman--this is not a
$%@#ing political issue. Why does the religious right and conservatives
think it is there right to take over decisions for someone's
at-conception fetus? They need to butt out!

Santorum doesn't oppose prenatal care. Your bias doesn't allow you to
actually pay attention to what he says. The problem is governmental
overreach, not prenatal care.

I agree with you. Santorum is by far the closest thing going to true
Christian values and Id love to be respresented by his presidency .
It would be almost like having a Founding Father running the Nation
again , instead of psuedo-leaders who say they are for ALL Americans
yet dont care about the developing Unborn Americans who deserve to
walk the soil of America. I want a Leader who will rub the apathetic
Sexual Hedonists up the wrong way by making abortion birth control /
murder unavailable , while making adoption easier . This
Halocaust has to end before Abortion Mills offer driveup service on
'Moms' lunch hour.

And the government banning abortion , now wouldn't that be Big bro
invading patient/dr. privacy issues?
Did you know through education , Planned Parenthood prevents unwanted
pregnancies and therefore prevents abortion. an ounce of prevention
is....

Yes he does.

He just said that he opposed prenatal testing.

Prenatal testing is part of prenatal care.

How do you know for certain what care a fetus might need if you don't
check?

If you do away with one, you pretty much do away with the other beyond
making sure the mother takes her vitamins.

Really, rightard...

It's not that complicated.

You mean government overreach by mandating that any woman seeking an
abortion must undergo medically unnecessary ultrasound examinations?

The problem is -religious- overreach.

Stop trying to codify your religious taboos into law and we won't have
any problems.

So much for the claim that this isn't about access birth control or
abortion, but is instead about "government overreach", eh rightard?

Thanks for admitting the true agenda of the religious right.

Yes but these radical Catholics don't want to prevent unwanted
pregnancies. They still go by the "be fruitful and multiply" rhetoric,
even though, with billions of people on the planet, we have already done
that long ago.

I want America to be what our Founding Fathers wanted it to be . That
is, some sense of morality, ethics, and correct behavior among the
masses. We fail on all 3 if we allow Sexual Hedonists to reply on
Abortion Mills to bail them out of a tight jam aka: Pregnancy. Was
your Mom prochoice or did you survive an abortion attempt ?

I want America to progress and have abortion on demand, paid for by the
taxpayer. I want plenty of orgies and public sex. I want the Catholic
Church to be burned to the ground.
Is that a problem for anyone?

#"Overreah" = "anything that might benefit working Americans".

Overreach in 1)assuming functions that should be in the private sector and
2) interference with religious beliefs.

Not even when it saves all of us more tax dollars.

Whenever it'll help bring about an abortion.

Your problem, rightard, is that America was -never- what you think it
was.

You mean correct behavior like:

Prostitution.

Child abuse.

Spousal abuse.

Slavery.

Teen pregnancy.

Infant mortality.

Racism.

Sexism.

Massive poverty.

All were -far- more common during the "Golden Age" you rightards want
us to return to than they are now.

Yea... That's a real ideal to aspire to, rightard.

And, there were plenty of homosexuals running around too. It's just
that back then nobody much gave a damn.

Heh heh...

Lying racist rightard socialists...

Batshit crazy and dogshit stupid, every single last one of you.

When it comes to insuring every woman has adequate access to it.

After that, it's between her and her doctor.

Why should health care be in the private sector?

Why should religious beliefs trump civil law?
