Did I hear Velikovski? Let's have a go at that! You do realize, of course,
that whether or not you like the sweeping, strange Velikovsky theories,
unfortunately, most of the predictions made from his model (things like
the voltage at the surface of the sun, etc.) turned out in retrospect to
be correct and/or true. How do you explain that? All of Velikovsky's
theories aside, it is pretty clear now that he was victimized by the
scientific establishment of his day- people like Menzel (a local favorite
around UFO groups) hated his ideas with such vengance that his writtings
were censored, and he himself basically recieve the scientific
establishements equivelent of "excommunication." 

Pons and Fleischmann ring a bell?
