I've been searching the net in vain quite some time now to find a site
where Civilization II by Microprose can be purchased. Apart from
http://www.hyperdrive.com/civ/ I didn't find anything. If you have an
idea, please let me know.

Try the cdrom shop - you might be ablt to order it through there - try a
search in games or for a specific game and they might show up.  That's
all I can think of for now.
