Excuse the cross post... Just wanted to report a successful trial of synchronization of Mac's Address Book, Ericsson's T39 and Palm's M515 using Bluetooth/USB Equipment: iBook OS X 10.2.2/iSync 1.0beta/Bluetooth D-Link module Ericsson T39 via Bluetooth Palm M515 via USB cradle Setup: Address Book on the Mac was set up with a specially created group called "T39". Into which I dragged all the phone contacts I wanted in my T39 from my full address list. Within iSync, T39 group is chosen to be the only group that is synchronized. This way, I won't overload the 500 in-phone address slots. Hotsync setup b/n the Mac and my Palm is per standard. Nothing special. Results: It just worked. The full address book is synchronized b/n my Palm and my Mac regularly. Every so often when I want to update my T39's built-in phone book, I would just make modifications with the T39 group within the Mac Address Book. At the next synchronization through iSync, everything gets updated as described. Very happy with the setup. The only complaint is the present speed. iSync 1.0beta seemed to go through the routine rather slowly. Well, I think I can forgive this beta ware for the time being.

Same using T68(i) and Powerbook with jaguar. Also sent SMSs with "GSM Remote" software; and GPRS scripts over Optus (Australia). iSync is one of a number of iApps about to be upgraded in the next month or two... Les

I have a t68 and I'm taking delivery of a new powerbook in the next week. I was wondering whether any of you have done bidirectional updates when using iSync? Specifically, can you enter new appointments in your phone? Since iCal is more sophisticated, are the new appointments found on the phone flagged in some manner so that you could enrich the settings if desired in iCal. I also use a Palm Vx but have been thinking of abandoning that if the synch with one's phone works. I currently use xtndconnect PC and gave up on entering dates in the t68 directly due to difficiencies. I've found xtndconnect most effective in a master slave type configuration as opposed to bi-directional updating. This is specifically for calendar entries as opposed to address book changes.

Pick the one from iogear, it doesn't cost much more, and it's class 1;
I've got one, and it works great.
