Firmware update for R2K T39mc

Does anyone know if R2M firmware update is available for T39mc models?
And specifically in Australia.

I have tried our local service dealer for Ericsson phones and they said
that they couldn't update it due to some technical issues.

Thanks.

Its unlikely you will find an update here in Australia since T39mc is a
Asian/Chinese version of T39m. They don't sell it here so therefore the
service centre won't even fix it if something goes wrong. Try to find
firmware off the net and upgrade yourself if you know how to.

That's definitely different from the situation here
in Canada.

Ericsson Canada will try their best to fix phones that
are not officially released here.

Firmware upgrade for T39 requires special equipment,
probably only available at Ericsson factory service
centres in Australia at the moment.

I guess they do it just because they're trying to be nice, it might not be
the same case for other countries.
