Hello,

With a Nokia 3310 and a sim card of 32k how many names and phone numbers
I can store ?
Does it depend only on the sim card or also on the model of phone used ?

What about sms received I can save ?

Thanks,

Mario Desiderio

It is dependent on the configuration chosen by the supplier of the SIM card.

Some will have a higher number capacity and lower SMS storage, and others
will be the opposite.

It depends which configuration the network operator has chosen. The
Dutch Libertel 16k SIM-card can store up to 150 numbers.

The extra 16k is for SIM Application Toolkit. e.g. online banking. it is
not meant for phone/sms storage.

That is how it is on the Microcell network... it may be different on
other networks. It depends on how the provider wishes to allocate
that extra space.

The GSM standard allows for a maximum of 255 names in the SIM. SMS
max is not defined but most operators use 30 as a maximum. The
network operator specifies this in the SIM specs with the SIM
supplier.
