It could be your car's troubleshooting computer is acting up, or detecting a problem... Mine detected a transmission problem, and it alarmed and interfered with my radio reception. This cleared when I re-started the car, until the next transmission error was detected. I have a new car with the computer control and service alarms (Saturn). Yours could be similar, if relatively new... The prior post about voltage instability could be the problem as well... bad volages can cause electronics to act wierd... better check the grounds and radio shielding, too! The phone is car-mounted, right? If its a portable hand-held, and battery-operated, the only interference source is radio-frequency (back to the car computer), sunspots, or local transmitter (not an issue if you had the problem in multiple locations. -greg email: garrison@mindspring.com
