I didn't explain myself clearly previously - I'm led to believe that the 2-digit code will tell you what component currently plugged into the mobo is preventing it from firing up properly, such as a duff memory chip, processor not seated, VGA card problems etc. Removing/replacing this item should sort out the problem. I've come across many mobo "problems" that vanished when some of the pluggable components are reseated (or the DIP switches properly set)!! > >This particular model also had diagnostics built into ROM so was useful >for things like quick memory and hard disc checks.
