Doesnt help with a boot drive with more than one partition
when you add a hard drive with a primary dos partition on it.

When I upgrade the main hard drive I normally do a completely
clean install on the new drive, just because Win9x benefits quite
noticeably from that occasionally. Its very convenient to just put
the older drive in the system and copy the miscellaneous crap
like the log files, shortcuts, favorites etc to the new clean install
and you dont see the drive lettering go pear shaped when you
eventually decide that the new drive isnt going to die of infant
mortality and you use the original drive in another system.
